The best type of music in my opinion. It mixes elements of folk, rock, and pop. You should check some of these bands out.

DESCENDENTS ( my favorite )

Fugazi ( musically focused )

Blink 182 ( more pop )

The Clash ( more on the rock side )

Black flag ( hardcore )

NOFX ( skate punk )

Ramones ( first real punk band )

Bad religion ( kinda on the political side )

Sublime ( ska punk )

MxPx ( clean punk )
