Question For Computer Boffins On "Removable Disk/USB Disk"

Could anyone tell me the difference between a "USB Disk" and a "Removable Disk" as indicated by Windows Explorer please ? I've done a few websearchs but can't find anything.

I'm trying to get video files to play via USB connection into a TV. So far, the USB disk allows it but the removable disk doesn't.

I find it puzzling that a right click properties on the two shows them as the same apart from size and the name viz "Removable Disk(F:)" and "USB Disk (E:)"...

Don't quote me on this, as I'll have to do additional research but it may be based on how the drive is formatted. If one is NTFS and the other is FAT32, that might the difference. Your TV might only support he latter.

Thanks Martin. I reformatted the "removable" drive and it now shows "exFAT". I think it showed FAT32 before. It definitely didn't show NTFS. I'm doing this for a friend.I don't have a modern TV, so can't test every time I change/try something.
