I've been talked to very rudely for playing the London System (a chess opening).  That opening has some practical value and is quite legal, but it upsets some players and there has even been a calling to ban it. 

But haven't had anything said to me about being in the United States.

Good luck with the report. When I reported "I hate minorities" in someone's profile (who also had a banned word in their username), it was deemed acceptable, so... Maybe you'll have a better outcome.

Edit: Eventually, the username was changed to something inoffensive, but the hate speech in the profile remains, so I've reported it again.

Oh.....I expected to see a discussion about the unfairness of white always going first. Never mind. 

Checkers is considered much older than chess. Maybe since black goes first in checkers it was decided to have white go first in chess?
