I havent listened to any of their songs, but they sound kool!
you could even say they are rad
it is a well known fact among weezer fans that weezer fell into a rut in the 2000s (even though make believe was good) and the most apparent "proof" is weezers 2009 album raditude
while many weezer fans and haters alike hate raditude for its different sound from regular weezer pointing at songs like "cant stop partying" as the reason for this unneeded hatred even though raditude is undoubtably weezers best work even better than pinkerton & blue
firstly "cant stop partying" is as rad as a song can possibly get hence the name "raditude" it has a catchy intro with the woahs and bass strumming? (i dont know i dont play bass) that hooks the listener from the first note
after the intro the song takes on a rather innovative turn on pop blending weezers rock oriented sound with pop-rap elements with the repetion of "i cant stop partying partying" to rhyming "jewels" with "too" after the second chorus the bridge and/or verse two kicks in with lil wayne taking on lead vocals and genius lyrical wordplay such as "weezer and its weezy upside down mtv" with the upside down mtv referring to the fact that a collaboration between weezer and weezy shakes the music industry to the point that mtv is flipped upside down
another song that raditude haters point to as an album killer is "im your daddy" however with more than a surface level knowledge of weezer and their discography can debunk this foolish claim
"im your daddy" is a song that rivers cuomo wrote for his daughter while she was hospitalized as a reassurance that everything will be alright in the end and is as such one of weezers most touching songs with a subject matter that sends a strong message to listeners no matter their stance on weezer
in conclusion weezers rut in the 2000s was not a rut but instead an era of musical innovation rivaled only by the beatles that is written off by stubborn raditude haters as "bad" and "too poppy" just because it is a unique sound for weezer
also uhh the dog on the cover art is cool bruv is having an amazing time
