I know I’m a year late to the party but the difference between someone asking about chess magazines and searching themselves is the personal experiences of those who subscribe to said magazines.
After during research and being more confused prior I found the best recommendations are the chess book I have came from people who actually read the books. After reading the recommendations I go back and do more research on the books, either reading about the book or getting a second opinion.
