Where was I? On the bus. It's cold! Oh my god. Winter. In England. Hmm. Brrrr
Tomtalk
I'm thinking of Elvis singing on a snowy Christmas night. He was so talented and handsome. Makes Christmas cool. Makes anything cool really. Wow! Ha ha.
Tomtalk
I like warm clothes and hot drinks on a cold day. Contrast is nice isn't it?

I sometimes wonder if it would have been better to be rich all your life or poor then rich.

I can imagine it must be amazing to go from rags to riches.

I'm a little envious of people that rise through the ranks. I just think wow that must be exciting.

Right now though I'm getting by financially and I'm relieved about that. I'm not sure it's getting easier though.

My daughter wants an iPhone. They sure aren't cheap!

I wonder if one day I'll come here and have nothing to say. I suppose it's like therapy though. You don't stop talking you just decide not to attend anymore.
Tomtalk
I definitely think it's been helpful for me being here. I was really confused before but I'm not any longer.

I've come to accept that evolution is the truth really.

The thing is when you find the truth of everything there's an expectation that it'll be oh so wonderful. It's just not.

How could it be anyway when you think about the absolutely atrocious things that happen to people?

Beautiful things happen too. That's life. Things just happen.

Not for a reason. Because of a cause.
Tomtalk
So the solution to what is everything for me anyway is something of a meh. So what? It all just is.

I guess a person could spend their lives studying evolution and there's certainly that type of activity.

It won't change anything though. Won't change the truth. Can't free you from being nature. That's all there is.
Tomtalk
But the mind plays tricks. Says things like but what should I do? We'll do though what we want to do. That's the truth. It's an interesting question though.
Tomtalk
I'd like to explore that. I accept there is no I in reality. I suppose what I'm saying is what is the ideal? What should we aspire to?
Tomtalk
I mean if we say the absence of pain for all then why have children? Do you see what I mean? A person can't suffer without being born!

Good Morning TOM-TOM.Very well put- some of your ideas(above). But may I suggest most humans need a "qualified" person to offload on.Not necessarily  a Professional in the strict sense but a person endowed with empathy, humanity genuine concern for those who may need some comfort and guidance...etc.Two people come to mind as I write (1) Kaynight.Despite the semblance of disinterest and remoteness kaynight is embued with many great qualities- Ibet a good listener too with oodles of patience. My advice is reach out.....I'm sure you will be delightfully surprised. (2) The second person is Aunty Primrose.(Madam Marfona) I have read her forum "Aunty Primroses Psychic Corner"-I think you have been in touch? Also her homepage and blog indicate a prescient caring and human person.Reach out to her-send her a message.I feel certain that any conflicts re life you may have will be assuaged thru the support and wisdom of the above persons.Have a good day.

Tom, Did you happen to watch that "Rich Martini" video, I 'linked' to.. Re. our conciousness, Not being dependent, on being attached to a physical 'body'.. as he documented, in varying ways & means ?

Common sense, would lead one to conclude.. That, his own discovered 'Truth'.. plus, Your Own 'take' on Reality .. Can't Both be 'right'! o:

Tomtalk
I didn't watch it. I just read you guys. Ed I'm not sure actually I agree. I think it's possible that in nature there are consciousness without matter. Who knows?
Tomtalk
Witmag you are the perfect therapist. You all are. You let me finish every time!

Tomtalk
Nice Ed.
Tomtalk
How interesting a consciousness without matter. I doubt it. I think electrical impulses are required for something to be sentient. Maybe though.
Flank_Attacks

'Einstein' was among the very 1st, to realize, that the supposed division, between 'matter' and 'energy'.. was Only in their respective vibrational rate.. And, the long established fact, that 'energy' is neither created, nor destroyed.. probably 'hints' at that, unknown to some, {oxymoron warning!}, 'unproven fact'.. of 'energy' being a self- sustaining, {enclosed, if need be}, phenomena .. Think, of 'ball lightning.'

its true............matter is energy and energy is matter, that can be proven in the ecuation e=mc2...so you can see the equivalencia between both

Tomtalk
Okay! So if all is energy perhaps it's possible that consciousness can exist without matter. Or at least observable to ourselves matter as all is energy.

I feel like we are almost proving God!
thegreat_patzer

yes I guess.  but perhaps we are best described as a lack of entropy rather than either energy or matter.

and alas that entropy is always increasing.

in short. the laws of the universe are intent at ripping apart the intricate forces that allow this thought-provoking conversation.

where is god in that?
