Removal of worthwhile threads

Over the last several days, a thread was started regarding the possible number of users on this site with Autism and/or Aspergers Syndrome that for the most part generated some really good dialogue from most of the contributors.

So imagine my disappointment to find the content had been removed from the site.

Now I am not sure if the OP of the thread deleted the entire post or if this was a decision by chess.com over some perceived violation of rules or lack of effective moderation or whatever, but it is extremely frustrating to find worthwhile topics that educate and inform or encourage good debate deleted and yet other posts thrive despite a lack of any real good information being presented or disseminated.

Has anyone else felt this way and if so, have you started blogs on other sites to continue threads when the site deletes the topic of discussion?

When a member is banned, threads they started disappear.

Queen_of_Knight

I too was disappointed.

Queen_of_Knight

Who was banned?

Queen_of_Knight

Kenpo, you should have been thrilled.  LOL...

Yeah, I agree. Several responses were very interesting in that thread!

Even got my first +1! But now it's gone Cry

Yeah, you added several great comments too! Didn't get to it in the thread but: +1 for that :-)

@wbilfc: phew! Thanks ;)

Really sad though that threads like these just vanish sometimes.

I in addition was aggrieved.

It was very unfortunate due in large part that much good information was coming out that shed light on several aspects of a condition that based on differing replies, shows there is a lack of significant education towards this feature in society. Was probably one of the better posts that I had seen come across the chess.com forums in quite a while.

+1 to all the posting contributors to the thread prior to this and +1 for those posting their support here.
