Poor cam... no dabs or balls to a fan

The Broncos defense was spectacular. For once though, Peyton Manning got carried by his defense. The offense played terribly.

He has until March  to retire, or otherwise the Broncos probably cut him to pay for Von Miller, Brock, and the others.

Actually, the year the Colts won the Super Bowl with Peyton, the defense did not play very well at all in the regular season but played like champs in the play-offs. I thought Peyton should have presented his Super Bowl MVP Trophy to the defense as a whole. I don't have the stats in front of me but I bet the Colts D was in the top 10 for playoff defenses in the post season that year.

Yup im very happy for Peyton

Odds of winning SB in 2016:

Pittsburgh 8 to 1

Washington 40 to 1

New Orleans 40 to 1

San Fran 60 to 1

I would put money on Washington as 40 to 1 is a good payday and conceivably they could do it.

Saints still had a chance though... im happy about that.

Peyton may play for the rams next year if he doesn't retire.

Avatar of jonnguy2014

I don't think it would be smart to join LA. If he did, he would have to play the same defense that tore him apart in SB48 twice a year with much worse receivers and Manning himself with much worse abilities than in 2013.

Not going to be pretty.

Avatar of gatorrt

san fran for 60 to 1 makes sense

out of all the teams that we like PIT is the best.

WSH is the 2nd best but if they can lock up Captain Kirk, D-Jax and Jordan Reed, they can be better than the Steelers.

saints are probably better than the 49ers right now but once we find out what the QB situation for SF is, we will have a better picture on where they are

Avatar of gatorrt

@jonnguy, they are saying that Peyton might go to LA if he doesnt retire...but you're right, it wouldnt be smart. NFC West is full of strong defenses and with Manning not fully healthy, it will only hurt him if he chooses to go to LA, or for that matter, ANY other team

Avatar of gatorrt

Eli Manning's face after Peyton scored the TD lol...he was having a quarterbacking moment, or so he claims!

Avatar of Burke

There's a nasty story circulating about Peyton right now. I've only seen it mentioned once after the initial report and I'm surprised that it isn't all they are talking about right now. Peyton is going to be lying low for a while and then he will retire for sure.

Why do he titled this thread a blog? It more of a form post
Avatar of gatorrt

@bosssauce510: sorry, i just got used to calling it a blog

@Burke: is this story the one where steroids were delivered to his house the year when he was injured? or is it the one where he mentioned Budweiser in the superbowl postgame interview?

Avatar of vavir

both, but mostly the steroids one.

Guys Guyz. I understand football and everything, and I am a big fan. I don't think u should make a forum on chess.com. You would much rather just make a blog or something.
Avatar of IcyTexture
When he mentioned Budweiser, should he get fined since it's not sponsored by the NFL?
Avatar of vavir

forums... blogs... they're pretty much the same thing.

Plus, gatorrt has like 800 comments now. there's no point in deleting

Fellas, there's a story picking up steam everyday that Pey-Pey tea-bagged a female trainer working on his leg when he was at Tennessee. Granted that most people may excuse this alleged behaviour since he's a grown man now and that was college but the story goes on to say his family was instrumental in getting his accuser fired and ruining her carreer and now he's going to be sued. Of, course this may be just because he's got money but I think its been said that they already paid her off once and now its time again. I may have some of the details wrong but its definately a sexual harrassment claim.

Avatar of WBFISHER

Yeah Eli looked a little upset that Peyton caught up with the family SB ring count.
