Pickup lines are one of the most common forms of sexual harassment and one of the main reasons women and young girls stop playing chess. Not everyone sees this as a joke. Please remember pickup lines that draw attention to someone's physical appearance or alludes to sex will likely be unwanted by the recipient and may be considered sexist and/or sexual harassment. Even if you know the person, it's often best to avoid using pickup lines on anyone and "no means no".

It happens. It's no joke. Pickup lines ARE one of the most common forms of sexual harassment. There are recent examples in the chess community. It can be very damaging to people that experience it.
