I sent in a support ticket on that....it just sounded too fishy to me. I thought he was fishing for confidential info. Once he has your Chess.com account,....he can get your car ins, bank acc, & medical records etc.

Yo Hi guys. So I was watching a GM Game when I met this account "temp_email" who was claiming to give diamond membership, in exchange for a password. He claimed he could not do "Gift Membership." So I whipped up an old account and tested it out. He did actually give diamond membership, as it said in an email. However, of course, he takes the account. this was all planned out and I did not lose anything thankfully. However, a lot of you guys need to be careful. There are some young people on chess.com who might actually believe they get diamond membership if they give their account. Be careful, people. Oh yeah, the old account is "chickie0", feel free to see what happened after the scam lol
