School is harder than average adult life

Basix, do you agree with me now that there is possibly a teeny weeny itty bitty little part of homeschooling that makes sense?

It's not so black and white, it depends largely on what you are able to do with your life after school. I do think grades 6-12 need to be rethought and completely redone (not discarded). Personally I am much better off as an adult than I was as a kid in a lot of ways. But that's a result of using the freedom of my childhood to pursue things that would make me fulfilled later. That's kinda the point. You have to work hard to get to the easier place. I don't think there should be less work necessarily, just more useful work. And no homework

Homeschooling seems like it has all of the exact same problems as public school, plus extra problems and no benefits like seeing friends

Friends good. I miss school friends ;-;

It has the same problems, and you get little social interaction.

Exactly. Socializing is one of the clearly redeemable qualities of school that is lacking in homeschooling. I didn't realize how much I would be suffering later in life if I failed to make connections in my school years. I wish I had been taught that lesson earlier, not the hard way. I wish I had been taught how to do my taxes and household maintenance.

I don't think so, or it was taught in a useless way that I don't remember and had to figure out later again anyway
School was great, I miss all the good times ;-;
