Should I change my pfp?

Somewhat recently, chess.com removed the animated profile picture feature, because apparently it is "distracting" and "laggy", as well as difficult to moderate (they have to scan every frame for something inappropriate). I can agree at least with the last two, but I still feel as though this isn't the best idea.

Either way, if I were to change my profile picture, I would not be able to get the old animated one back.

I wanted to put a green dot in the bottom corner of my profile picture, like @Qoiuoiuoiuoiu and @Blindfolded-Hikaru.

So my question for you is... should I change my profile picture?

Thumbs up thumbup for I should change it; thumbs down thumbdown for I shouldn't change it.

I think it's fine.

Don't change it, stay defiant. My personal opinion.

Also, does anyone know if chess.com plans on freezing old gif pfp's?

In my opinion, I think you should change it and find a new style of uniqueness, because there are still many GIF profile pictures, and eventually cc will probably do something about the remaining ones also (e.g. @Aronole, @INTL_PREMIER_LEAGUE, etc.)

Is there an option for 'I don't care. Do what makes you happy.' ?

It was actually because Hikaru himself said on stream that it was distracting, and shouldn't be allowed.

You shouldn't change it.

Cause

1. You are literaly imposter proof.

2. You are special.

3. It could be a symbol that you been in this website before the gifs were removed.

4. Also here comes the fame.

I've already started missing my animated happy ghastling (I accidentally changed a few days ago and now can't change it back 😿)
