So ... Anyone else been to Vulcan ???

Hey I remember that plot-line from an episode of the original TV series and from the first Star Trek movie as well. Seems to me that I have that first movie around here somewhere tho still only on the old VHS tape format. I haven't seen that movie in years, I guess that I better have a closre look around here. 

Yeah, I had that in mind :). Near the begginning of Season 2, I think.

I'm watching a tos episode and came across this insult. it's great.

Yes that is a cute insult, poor Mr.Spock was the butt of many jokes  lol.

Yeah, but McCoy and Kirk had it turned around on them occasionally, too.

True, Mr.Spock was capable of some very dry humour at times. 

We have been pretty much the only people on here lately. :(

Good point Jtt96. Besides you and me there have only been 6 or 7 people doing most of the posting here. Also some of these regulars are not doing much posting now so I guess that this thread may just fade off into Outer Space  lol.

It doesn't surprise me that there would be a town named Vulcan, as it is actually the Roman God of Fire long before Star Trek claimed the name.

Thanks for the recent posts. There is a Star Trek museum in the town of Vulcan, which is of course very logical  lol.

Thanks for the updates Jtt96. Kalamazoo without a Zoo, not logical at all. However Kalamazoo was the home of the Checker Motors Corporation.
