I asked in my OP not to have extra commentary, this person showed an irrelevant comment but didn't express solidarity. Ukraine is in the news, for one thing, and mods do not lock threads such as these in the news section but that's a false issue. You're blocked now, don't try to derail or whine to the mods to interfere when you've got no interest to take part in this thread, if anything comment #7 ought to be removed.

To site members: Given the grey area, it's not clear whether anything political in this section of the fora is permitted, as some suggested, nonetheless, please do not post ANYTHING else other than the above hashtag sign. If you attempt to get off-topic the thread will run the risk of being locked. There are those amongst us who have the agenda to cancel free speech, even when said free speech expresses solidarity, free speech IS our value.
To site mods: Instead of a blanket ban against an entire community by cancelling a thread a mod could actually mod-erate. Just edit any off-topic politics out of an individual post, like for other threads that don't get locked, oddly enough in that sense you could help to keep this thread clean and sanitized (against any accidental extra off-topic commentary undoubtedly approaching). This would at least allow harmless non-political gestures of solidarity with a given country, in this case, Ukraine. I know, a crazy proposal. But, technically this thread can't really be censored because per the OP it's not political. It's vague and it's bland, therefore, innocuous. Any extra commentary essentially amounts to less politics than this, https://www.chess.com/blog/CHESScom/in-support-of-ukraine, or this https://www.chess.com/blog/CHESScom/on-the-invasion-of-ukraine (or any of our site's discussion clubs).
I am Polish and far be it some worthless virtue signalling, all signs of solidarity are welcome and constructive to forming public opinion, the lawmakers are receptive to the electorate and pay attention to us the voters. But, we do get what-about-ism and be cautioned from adopting a zero-sum mentality. Don't make the perfect the enemy of the good i.e. saying why do anything unless we can do everything. Those that manufacture memes, mocking those of us expressing solidarity for being guilty of double standards in expressing solidarity, they're the ones guilty of being facetious and frivolous and flippant. You gotta keep things in perspective and proportion.
