NEEDLE OF DEATH BERT JANSCH
NEEDLE AND THE DAMAGE DONE NIEL YOUNG
NEEDLES AND PINS THE SEARCHERS
John Lennon fancied himself as a bit of a revolutionary ,despite being English he met up Dutch Docherty and other boys to discuss politics ,He always wanted to write an anthem ,i.e. power to the people ,give peace a chance ,etc , which never quite made "We shall overcome" status ,because ,simply put John played at politics ,which was later to cost him his life ,when he dared speak out against the U.S. high command ,(see conspiracy theories)
this is one of Johns tirades against the man,
GIMME SOME TRUTH (Lyrics) JOHN LENNON
GOD - PLASTIC ONO BAND - (the studio version ,its better to go to You tube and type the same text ,much better recording)
On he original vinyl record,( the opening two lines of the song). it sounded like John was calling God a rather rude name
I,m happy to see so many vistors to "Seasons" I hope you find some joy in.... or meaning from these artists and their songs ,;^)》,,
SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY U2.
(Jan 30th 1972)
Another one of many sad days in Irish history, widely condemned ,British paratoopers more used to full throttle assault scenarios were ordered into Derry to do crowd control ,They certainly "controlled" the peaceful demonstraters in the only way they knew and were trained to do,
This song isn't an Irish rebel song ,it says more about the futility of war and the needless ,pointless sufferings and anguish that war (any war) metes out to combatants and non combatants,
"many have lost ,tell me who has won".?
Lightening the mood ,somewhat with a love song or two ♡♥♡or 3
NELLY- DILEMMA ft

MADONNA, FROZEN
Sunday selection ends with Keith Emerson's adaptation of a track from Leonard Berstein 's famed musical ".West Side Story "
THE NICE, AMERICA,
If you ever wondered what rock music was all about ,,,,the BBC LIVE VERSION may help you draw a conclusion.!!
After hitchhilking from "Christania" in Denmark ,through Germany (no easy task) with my then wife and infant son in tow ,We finally arrived at Amsterdams "Milkweg" club (off Leidseplein) thanks to a Finish trucker who couldn't speak a word of English, but without him, I think we three would still be hitching through Germany. The sounds of speeding Autobahn cars still ringing in my ears, I lay down on the comfortable cushion strewn floor listening to the DJ's music ,He played this song/instrumental,
AUTOBAHN KRAFTWERK ,
Which made me chuckle ,afterwards ,
A live crazy theatrical musical production follwed the DJ in which a semi naked white male, dressed in a grass skirt who was painted and wearing coconut shells rushed to where we were resting ,shook me and screamed "The monsters coming" "The monsters coming," ! (rofl) literally that night ,;^)
I,m playing some tough cookies ,one in particular a ,so far 70 move marathon,(by my standards ),Its near the final bell and we both are punch drunk ,Our situation reminded me of this song .
THE BOXER SIMON AND GARFUNKLE
(post script ) I won by unanimous decision after a gruelling 80 moves (or 15 rounds). My longest match ever.!
Bond !James Bond. We've all seen some of the glossy movies and Chubby Broccolis depictions of the British secret agent 007.In Ian Fleming original books we read about a totally different character ,one who smokes 60 turkish cigarettes a day and wonders which will kill him first, an assassins bullet or the smokes .Many fine musical scores have accompanied his movies. This one is my favourite,
LIVE AND LET DIE ,PAUL MCCARTNEY
also covered by guns and roses
Another book "WATERSHIIP DOWN"was made into an animated movie ,This song accompanied it
BRIGHT EYES ,ART GARFUNKLE
A BBC SCI FI Series DR WHO preceded the Star Trek series by over 2 decades on U.K.terrestial TV ,It was made into a movie collection as well .
THEME FROM DR WHO BBC STEROPHONIC WORKSHOP
DR WHO ,MEETS METAL
A virtuoso performance from the "daft punk"lead guitarist (i think) If you let the video run ,he will appear
One last movie track that was the climax of the movie CROSSROADS,It also featured a famous metal guitarist who had sold his soul to the devil,A duel was called for to decide who would live and who die ,while the devil watches on in the front row,
CROSSROADS-GUITAR DUEL
Allegedly one of the most generous men in the world,Elton John caused the usual narrow minded cuffuffle when he came out,he then bought Watford FC .a brave man in those days ,no doubt ,Watford are now an EPL side and are flying high,They beat MAN .U., 3-1 on saturday, lol.
