Spam Crackdown

In its current state, OTT (not a typo - see Balviboy's thread on it) has a lot of spam threads that are not only made in abundance but also widely accepted.

Some of these threads, just looking at the first page of OTT, have 30,000 or even 60,000 posts, which makes these posts enticing to others as a way to have a popular thread. 

This means that not only is it widely accepted that spam threads exist, but it is also widely engaged with. 

The effect of filling OTT with spam threads is that non-spam threads get harder to find and fewer in number.

This may be a reflection of the majority of the members of OTT. 

Some state that "this is just how OTT is". Maybe it is. But it doesn't have to be.

We can change OTT. We can take the first step of not commenting on person above/below you threads.

OTF is for younger kids to spam and have their own fun. Mature members who aren't interested in OTF as much as they once were have either left or are very inactive.

The solution is to do whatever you like most. If you don't enjoy spam threads, then post on the few good ones.

This is OTT.

Aside from name, then. According to you, spam is what is included in a product that is not directly linked to the product. Chess could be said to be spam in one's life, then.

Although what I said is irrelevant to the conversation.

Spam threads are generally understood as low-quality or low-effort threads.

This thread is a discussion and a potential solution concerning the amount of spam in OTT.

OTT itself is not spam. People create spam threads.

Bass on that, OTT is not spam, as it is not sent to you, it is just an option to view if you make ~5 optional clicks.

Read Balviboy's thread. Like you implied, whether we use OTF or OTT, it is the same.
