As a chess player, what strange things have you done, in or off the chess board? Related to chess or not?

I, for example, was really tempted to make a chessKids.com account- just to see how well I'd do, and see all the little kids beating me... D:.

But I didn't.

I also once had to go to the hospital after an opponent through a rook at my eye- the rook actullay cut the surface of me eye, and I was left in an eye patch for 2 weeks.
