Judit Polgar is undisputedly the world's best women's player. And the reason why there is WGM and GM is like a distinction in women's sports and men's sports. There is usually a section for women because they are underestimated. Only difference is, is that women can earn GM titles.

I’m cognizant that Women’s History Month recently took place, and possibly the topics discussed, but! what is the consensus of the greatest female chess player of all time and also, who is the strongest contemporary. Lastly, why the distinction in titles, i.e., Gm/ Wgm.
