India 114 off 12.4. They're looking at more than 200.

AussieMatey

As predicted - India 2/210.  Ul-Haq was rather expensive 4 0 59 0.

Cracking contest for 2nd place in each group. Aus/south Africa and Sri Lanka in group one and india/Afghanistan and NZ in group 2. Run rate will be vital. I guess the last 2 overs yesterday may end up deciding the line up

Sri Lanka are already out , WI have a slim chance , but if SA beat Eng , SA goes through

If Afghanistan beat NZ by a close margin , ind will most prob go through cause they will have one more game ( the last game of the group stage ) so they will know the equation , but if NZ beats Afghanistan , NZ goes through

AussieMatey

Sri Lanka can't make it - they've only won 1/4 with one to come.

But it could depend on Net Run Rate, and India's isn't all that flash.

Exactly , India's next two games are against Scotland and Namibia , so India have a really good chance of getting a high NRR , it will all come down to Afghanistan vs New Zealand

So looking like eng vs ind and pak vs aus. Mouth-watering games!!

Both India and Aus are doubtful

More likely NZ vs Eng and Pak vs SA

Both India and Australia depend on others results

But you can never write off either

Bangladesh aren't doing anyone any favours today :(

1d3_1-0

Bangladesh is probably the weakest team in the Super 12

They are carried by a few players like Shakib

Bulliedofthesite

Weaker than Scotland and Namibia???

Theoretically , yes , Scotland beat Bangladesh in the Qualifiers and Namibia beat Scotland

Practically , probably not , but Bangladesh's players are in terrible form , Scotland and Namibia are at least going down fighting

So now if South Africa beat England they are through. If the lose then Australia are through with a win. Never write them off

1d3_1-0

Now both SA and Aus are on 4 points with one game to go , but because of that huge win, Aus NRR is way higher than SA , So Aus are almost guaranteed to go through , especially cause they are playing WI in their final game and SA is playing Eng

1d3_1-0

SA either needs to crush Eng by a huge margin ( very unlikely ) or hope that aus lose their final game

AussieMatey

Yep. SA won't do that. You'd think Australia would win, but you would not be certain. We wouldn't want another batting collapse.

They are playing WI and WI's bowling and batting look bit shaky , a lot of young guys , and the experienced guys aren't helping much ( Simmons , Bravo , Pollard , Holder etc )

What took Scotland 17.4 overs, India 2/89 wins in 6.3 overs. Amazing! 74/89 in boundaries. Massive Net Run Rate increase.  But if NZ beat AFG, India miss the Semis.
