Temp disconnected-Reconnecting

I was playing ILO-PINCI and the game was disconnected in a way I never seen before: The screen went blank and fuzzy and the pieces disappeared. . It was his move when the disconnect came on and the only thing working was his clock was running. About ten minutes later the game reconnected, but their was a full chess board for the start of a game and no opponent. I waited a few minutes and looked for the outcome of the game, thinking it was a no game.  I was shocked to see that I had lost. What happened? This letter in NO WAY reflects foul play against opponent. I just don't understand what happened.
