When Li Na was on her game she was pretty much unbeatable. She retired too soon, I agree.
Serena won her 20th major. I've never been a fan of her due to off the court stuff, but I've often been taken with her play. And, I think she's physically gifted in a way that most of us are impressed when we see it.
Only two behind Stefi. Even if she doesn't get there, she'll be in the conversation for best ever.

She's the best player I've ever seen overall. But on clay courts, Justine Henin was the best player.
Wawrinka vs Djokovic should be a good one today:)

I think Steffi Graf was most consistent in her game and had toughter opposition.
Then Serena has just been too many years in the top, it is not usual in women tennis

Serena's serve is just so strong. I think Serena had tougher opponents than Steffi. Steffi won everything when there was only Arantxa Sanchez, Sabatini, and Navratilova to win. Serena won against Hingis, Davenport, Maresmo, Henin, Venus, Sharapova, Clisters, Seles, Pierce, Kvitova, Li Na, etc.

Yeah but those players of the generation of Serena wasn't that focus in tennis.
Hingis
Hingis retired in 2002 at 22 years!!!
2006 back to tennis reaching the 6 in the rankings
2007 back to retirement after positive for cocaine
Clijsters
First retirement from tennis at 2007 with about 24 years
Comeback at 2009 and back to number 1 in 2011
Henin
First retirement in 2008 while being the number 1 ranked tennis player!!
and so with all them
I think Serena would have not won that much if their opponents had no dissapeared so quickly

Stan was very very impressive yesterday! I liked that they were both really cool at the end of the match, and the crowd liked both of them alot. Nice to see:)
