The continuous OTF chess competition.

I'm one of the rare otfers who actually have a mid high rating 🤣

While people from OTF don’t play much chess, I thought it would motivate us all a little more to create a fun and competitive competition for everyone on OTF. It’s very simple, and anyone can play, and you can join whenever you’d like to.

Here’s how it will work. You may play anyone from OTF, with any time control. After winning or losing a game, you must report it back to me on this thread, and I’ll record the results. You can play against anyone as many times as you’d like, so as they agree to play. You may pop into my thread to play as many people of whatever rating you’d like to. You can challenge users, but the result only counts if they’re a part of OTF.

Here’s what makes it a competition. After each week, I will take a look at all the results on a Google Doc I’m going to create, and power rank you by how well you did. If you went 1-0, it would not be as high as someone who went 24-3. There will also be a complete leaderboard if this stays alive for more than one week. I’ll also be looking at what ratings you’re winning and losing to, to further see if your wins and losses are good wins or bad losses. I will handle all of this, and all you have to worry about is letting me know if you won or lost against someone. Higher-rated players will have an advantage, but all players are welcome. If you’d like to join, play a game against a fellow OTFer and share it with me. As long as I can see it in your archive, it will count. Oh, and I’ll be thinking of a prize for users who rank high in the weekly leaderboard.
