The Decline of Humanity

Go for it! Sound like you have something to say. Throw caution to the wind and let your voice be counted!
Ok, but I'll do my best not to touch on hot issues.
I believe that the state of humanity is in a state of freefall. My belief of this can be found in out own beloved United States. When our country was founded family structure was strong, morals were high, and the greatest problem facing our forefathers was taxes. Nowadays, we fight teen pregnancy, HIV-AIDS, and other forms of moral deprivation. Not to say that this wasn't present during the 1770's, but now these failings are promoted by the media, encouraged in schools, and represent the new normal in our society. This can not be the way human existence should be. Yet instead of fixing the problem, we continue to ignore it allowing generation after generation to continue this vicious cycle. Each getting progressively worse than the generation before it. Now, with all of the tools modern technology has given us, we will be able to spread bad ideas faster and farther than ever before. Thus speeding up the pace of our degeneration. I can not claim, however, to predict how bad we will be in the coming time. Then again, who 240 years ago could have predicted this?
I believe we are moving forward in a technological, and scientific, seance; mainly because that's all I pay attention to. We have things that a few thousand years ago, would make us seem like gods. We can command light to do our bidding. We no longer face our brothers in brutal hand to hand combat. Did you know that ancient barbarians would slit a mans stomach, reach inside, grab the lungs, pull it past the pelvis, all while the man is still alive. This would happen for many minutes. They called it the "Bloody Wings" because the lungs looked like wings, and they were dripping with blood. Back then they would throw their own fices out of the window, like a monkey. Most men didn't live past their thirties, and someare over one hundred years old! Their lives were brutal and fast, our are slow and comforting. So I say shut up about your pasty little problems are be proud of what we have aaccomplished!
I don't think we'll be alive long enough to notice.
