Think superman .

We can fly , we can hear a voice from space , we can set things on fire , freeze things .

We are gods .

What can superman do that we can't?

tomtrytostay
See I figure if we look at the myths , the science fiction , we get an idea about what might be possible .

Would teleportation be a good thing?

Time travel ?

I like these inventive creative movies .

Groundhog Day , multiplicity , back to the future .

Chicken_Monster

Superman can stop a bullet or speeding train, obviously. I could beat him up, though.

Why is quantum the key?

If animals are lucky enough to become our house pet, then they will immediately move to the top of the food chain.

Until their owners get hungry, anyway.

hm - if you are somehwere on earth - and use that time machine - and you get into another time and everything else not - and you want to be 5 minuts in the future - what do you think how many miles the earth will be away from you then (depending ofyour location)? - i am not sure right now how fast the earth is - i guess very fast. and its also circling - hard to get at exactly the location where your start your time travel.

Good question. I'll let you know once I figure out how to inject enough energy through a wormhole in space.

Robot bodies. So you can have your brain transplanted into a much better robot body.

so you would like the idea to get a penis transplantation - or does that body have no?

The robot body has everything!

@Jokerstar:

Interesting. One point though...it has been mathematically proven that you cannot go back in time before the point at which the time machine was created...you can only go forward...

Cm you've seen that film the fly I think . I can't see teleportation myself . Maybe like a particle or something but nothing more than that .

Even the brightest minds in, say, 1930 would not predict the iPhone. Maybe the Android though.

Yes, I saw The Fly a long time ago. I would not want to be the first human to test a teleportation device...or time travel...time travel has been mathematically proven to be possible...

Time travel is not considered theoretically possible because of the so called "Grandpa paradox":

If you go back in time and kill your grandpa when he is a newborn then how did you exist to went back in time and  kill your grandpa?

One workaround is the idea that by traveling back in time you introduce a fork in the universe, with one branch progressing as it normally would have without your interference (we could call it 'alpha'), and the other containing you and your interference ('beta'). The grandfather you kill in the beta universe would only prevent the beta version of you from being born, but wouldn't destroy you, since you're descended from the alpha universe grandfather.

5 or 6 billion, I think. I've already bought my tickets.

for my friend Cm.

We are all traveling in time, and the rate of our travel is easily changed.
