i dont hate metal, but i dont like Metallica. like most music, it has to be done right for me to like it.
Hate to be that guy, but isn't System of a Down extremely "explicit" with their lyrics? Makes sense that it would be blocked. Although not blocking Hip-Hop (which is well known for being explicit) sounds hypocritical.
#19 not as explicit as much other rap/trap artists... I agree some of their songs are VERY explicit (marmelade...) but most of them are not that explicit, or they are but because of the themes they song of

In terms of popularity Metal is like Jazz but worse. It’s fine to listen to but at the end of the day it just doesn’t stimulate you as much as pop or some other genre. Also you said that there’s meaning but it kinda is drowned out by the wonderful vocals (gotta respect them for sacrificing their voices)

Furthermore, From what I’ve seen most popular metal tracks are ones that are slightly more tame to where we can understand the actual meaning of the music.
#24-25 I disagree. I can easily understand the lyrics of every SoaD song, and English is not even my first language. And I have to disagree even more for your first take. Metal stimulates me A LOT, it helped me in difficult moments. Don't compare us to jazz
But yeah, there are lots of metal bands who make stupid and funny songs.

I think a better comparison is Metal music to Anime. To the common folk Anime is some foreign film genre with weird suggestive stuff. But for every ‘boku no pico’ or ‘My Little Sister Can’t Be this cute’ there are anime’s like ‘One Piece’ or any ‘Studio Ghibli’ film. The problem is that the only thing being broadcast to people is the weird stuff. For metal there are some fire 🔥 stuff in it but most people just think of it as brainless heavy metal which is bad. What I just explained is the root of the hate you talk about against metal.
