he created the formula E=mc^2 which basically tell st the maximum amount of energy (E) in any mass (m) in kilograms. C is the speed of light in meters per second (about 3E8 m/s). This is the basis of antimatter which anhialates with matter to make purt energy- pount for pound, anti matter releases more energy than any reaction, far more than even the most powerful nuclear warheads. 1 kg of antimatter would create energy the equivalant of about 20 million tons ofTNT, 100's of times more powerful than our best nuclear reactors/bombs.
EINSTEIN IS COPLETELY AND COMPLETELY YET AGAIN OVER RATED!!!!! I generally make it a habit to not use caps, but I decided that this is a case worthy of making an exception. I have no idea why einstein is considered the "standard" genius, and he might have been the smartest person in history (though to tell you the truth, I doubt it), but to declare him that without debate is beyond complete ignorants.

I see none of you have ever had the pleasure of meeting me. J/k, but what aboot that Hawkins mofo? I heard a story that he controls our thoughts and that it takes so much energy that he has since lost his neuro-muscular control and now poops in a bag. True story.
but srsly, when measuring genius, what are you using as a measuring stick? Whose definition of intelligence are we going by? How do you take into account cultural factors? I'm going to stop asking questions to myself and go play chess now.

Hawking is way more over rated than Einstein. Don't get me wrong, Hawking is a brilliant guy, but he's never even won a Nobel prize. There's a lot of people in physics right now that have done more significant work than his. I think he's famous mostly because of his disease, if you want my honest opinion.
Being a Nobel Laureate does not automatically make one smarter than a non-laureate. BTW, Einstein won the Nobel Prize for the Photoelectric Effect, not Relativity, which of course was his major achievement. (This alone could prove that the prize itself is overrated.) I don't see how Einstein is overrated when he's universally recognized as a genius. Is it unfair that other geniuses aren't as well-known? Probably, but that shouldn't affect Einstein's reputation.

Einstein published in 1905 special relativity with the most important principle that speed of light is the same for all inertial observers regardless of the state of motion of the source and general relativity in 1915 a theory about universe,space,time,black holes and more(for me this is the best theory that human brain ever thought...) and both stand still after 100 years..This tell me that Einstein is not over rated but a genius..Also he made researches about unifies field theory and atomic bomb and he helped to grow the theory or quantum physics ever if he never accepted it..

Something that is not well-known is that Einstein had sent a few letters to the Greek mathematician Konstantinos Karatheodoris,thanking him for his valuable contibution to his research.These letters were found a few years ago,I don't know exactly when.
