Cheers! I drink when I chess, why not?
There are tons and tons of alcoholics out there. Alcoholic role call!

The top ten percent of Americans drinkers- which is 24 million people- have on average 74 drinks per week. And That’s just the top ten percent I can’t believe how many alcoholics are out there. 30% of adults don’t drink at all. I don’t get how you can have 70 drinks every week it kind of blows my mind but it’s one in ten people crazy stuff.

52 times a year without ever missing holy smokes lol this is one in ten ppl

I haven't drunk since the 1970s; never smoked either. I did toke a lot in my youth and even did some other drugs but I've been clean for almost twenty years now. That may be why I'm still around today. It's probably why my chess rating has plummeted over 400 points - plus I grew old.

Everyone knows the dangers of alcoholism. However, many more livers are getting trashed these days from excessive soda drinking. (The fructose in sodas attacks the liver in the same way as alcohol does. Fructose comprises roughly one-half of sucrose, or common table sugar. Also, high-fructose corn syrup is about the same as sucrose.) For some strange reason, the soda industry doesn't seem to be getting that message out... ;-)

I admit I'm a sodaholic and I have type 2 diabetes. Giving up beer, drugs, and alcohol was much easier to do for me Fortunately I never started cigarettes. I don't know how people can afford that, especially the multi-packs-a-day smokers.

I'd recommend that you try to avoid sugar or high-fructose corn syrup. Sodas with artificial sweeteners are probably better, although I'm not a fan of artificial sweeteners, either. Sodas with stevia are probably safer, although they're a bit more expensive.
Any soda using sugar or corn syrup will significantly raise your insulin level. Oddly though, even sweeteners using artificial sweeteners or stevia will increase your insulin level a bit through something called the "cephalic phase insulin response."
Btw, in case your doctor never told you, type 2 diabetes can often be reversed by going on a keto diet. The information I'm hearing is that about 2/3 of the time, people can come completely off their diabetes meds if they go on strict keto, and the other 1/3 of the time, the level of meds are reduced. One warning - As a type 2 diabetic, if you decide to try keto, you need to be under a doctor's supervision when starting the diet; As you go on the keto diet, your meds will probably need to be reduced to prevent a possibly dangerous hypoglycemic condition.
And, if you decide on trying keto, it should be with the goal of the diet being for the rest of your life. If you go off the diet, the diabetes will return.

Is Keto mostly meat and reducing carbohydrates?
yes i did it for a year and i got trlly sick im 13
