Whatever stand off is happening, it's interrupted by the advancing of more guards, around four. There must've been more in the lower mines, and the begin to advance and fire suppressing shots at the rock where everyone's hiding out.

Wandy fires 6 crack shots in a matter of a second, 2 hitting Miranda and 2 hitting each of her goons in rapid succession. All 6 headshots. He then hides behind a rock as he waits for the pistols to cool down. Then he pulls out his rifle and fires a “warning” shot which kills one of the guards.
"Are you seriously staling from someone?"
