Short form content in general is harming attention spans, I've seen it firsthand. I'll be teaching a lesson and kids will NEED some sort of stimulation or else they go on their phones or start talking.
Tiktok Ban

It's why I've always been a fan of longer games like Helldivers or CS2, you need to designate time to it. Mobile games are designed to be 3-5 minutes sp you can fill in the small spare time on your day

i’ve just got a short attention span
Some people just do have short attention spans, but short form content reinforces it, I believe.

There is educational stuff
There is, but it often leaves a few details out or just sums it up due to how short the video is. Also a LOT of educational channels will purposefully make an obvious mistake so that people call it out in the comments, boosting the algorithm

I tried YT Shorts, it was boring and fed me junk I wasn't interested in. I've never used TikTok or Instagram, ans I've noticed that my attention span is pretty good compared to some people i work with. They can't even stand still for the national anthem

No there are official accounts for lots of educational websites and shows and stuff
Yeah but the better ones (in my experience) are the ones that put out full length videos instead of shorts.
YouTube has sone crazy stuff on it as well, and Instagram literally has people dying on it. Hate the player, not the game
