I once, again while hungover, crossed the median double line around a curve in the GA mountains. Luckily, there was no oncoming car. The worst part of the whole thing was that my best friend was in the passenger seat. I endangered his life and have to live with that.
Had it been only me? Still a big deal, but not as much. Had there been a pregnant woman driving an oncoming car? I would have deserved everything I got.
