Exactly .
It's crazy isn't it ? You could be the most beautiful kind person but if you don't believe in God you'll go to hell . Where's the sense in that ?

Taking an overview though religion is just another belief . What interest me though is how much of what is us is belief .

So we have the world around us . We observe things . But then there is this other thing . We interpret this information. This interpreting is subjective right ?

So for example you might look at a light in the sky and say there's a star and me I might say there's an aeroplane.

Of course there is an objective truth but perhaps what's important is the view we hold to be true .

After all we live our lives according to our beliefs . I suppose it's likely we'll never know the absolute truth about anything .

For example we see a star and think yeah I know what that is but these scientists will say things are incredibly complex and it's difficult to know anything with absolute certainty .

So all we can have really is an idea of things . I guess in terms of how we live our lives belief is a massive part of that

I'm wondering about the universe . I've come to accept that we are here naturally and the universe too .

I wonder though if life has an intelligence within it .

For example our subconscious makes decisions. Perhaps that's true in a wider sense too .

That our evolution isn't accidental but rather life designing things to give us the best chance of survival .

If that's so then perhaps life does this in a coordinated way with other life forms too .

How can you be sorry to someone you don't think is real?

Dragon..how can you be divine and make petty distinctions about who you forgive?

You can be sorry to the life forms you hurt . What else is there to apologise to ?

Just read a quote...when you are hurt always forgive but never forget what it taught you.

It's obvious isn't it . No loving being would countenance torture .

It's clearly a massive contradiction . I guess belief isn't about logic though .

I am a Theist.  I believe that the world was made in 6 24hr days.  I believe that God sent his Son Jesus Christ to die to save the world from its sin.  I believe that Jesus is coming back again some day to take his children (all of those who believed on him) home to heaven.

Okay . Tell me more Jon . You believe that God created Eve from Adam's rib right ? Tell me how you believe the soul gets in the body and how the soul relates to who we are .

Is our thinking because we have a soul or could we think without a soul ?

Thunder....science has shown the world to be billions of years old, took more than 6 days. The bible cant be taken literally like that. Belief in God is your personal choice but saying the world was made in 6 days is just plain wrong.

God can make it so that the earth had already decayed so that when we test it, it seems super duper old. And God can only forgive those that accept his gift. It's like an invitation card. If you don't go to the party, then how will you get the good they offer? God is offering and invitation to forgiveness. You have to accept it in order to recieve it.

Dragon....really? God made it so the earth "looked old"...who taught you this stuff? Out of interest, why did God want the earth to look old?

My interest is that there are clearly different beliefs .

I'm no sure whether or not a religious belief is different then other beliefs .

Can we know anything or is all we have belief ?

This idea that Jesus is our saviour etc. Where is the evidence ?

Because a book says so ?

Or do you Christian guys believe you've personally experienced God ?

The great thing about relaxing and being your true self is because you are in touch with the love you are you can see it in others and accept it and accept them and the whole thing is beautiful . You can relax too . Hallelujah ! And know the world is beautiful . We are beautiful !
