So we have the world around us . We observe things . But then there is this other thing . We interpret this information. This interpreting is subjective right ?
So for example you might look at a light in the sky and say there's a star and me I might say there's an aeroplane.
Of course there is an objective truth but perhaps what's important is the view we hold to be true .
After all we live our lives according to our beliefs . I suppose it's likely we'll never know the absolute truth about anything .
For example we see a star and think yeah I know what that is but these scientists will say things are incredibly complex and it's difficult to know anything with absolute certainty .
So all we can have really is an idea of things . I guess in terms of how we live our lives belief is a massive part of that
It's crazy isn't it ? You could be the most beautiful kind person but if you don't believe in God you'll go to hell . Where's the sense in that ?
