A succour of allies helped the losing army regain confidance and that caused them to eventually win the war.

Revelers sang and cheered the victory in town squares all over the land.

The supposed powerful magician created an illusion that he was ubiquitous with just a trick involving mirrors.

"Beatific..."

Overjoyed by unexpected checkmating- he sat wth beatific smile on face and a wee Drambueie jn his hand- what a happy prospect for 2010 !!

A highly recognized and vaunted piece of architecture in the world is the Great Wall of China.

"Eiffel Tower..." (another vaunted piece of architecture)

The vilifying remarks made against the politician easily made his opponents seem better.
