Recently in otf under a lot of threads I’ve seen people saying “useless thread” and I just wanted to know what defines a “useless thread” cuz some threads are actually awesome and interesting and still people are saying that it’s a useless thread.

Hmmm. I’d say it’s a thread that’s useless for the community to use. Kinda fits the description.

#4 Currently, yes. But before this new wave of people not really. Yeah his opinion stayed the same, but he would at least ask questions and participate a bit.

#7 Because some people benefited from it, so now everyone wants to. My ama hasn't been touched in forever, and it should stay that way. I've matured as an OTFer and those aren't needed for me anymore.

If a thread meets any of the following criteria:
Doesn't promote any sort of discussion and has no purpose.
Is a spam thread where the user is just posting to post.
Trends like chat threads, AMAs, or tier-lists to attract posts or attention, also being unoriginal.
A thread where no effort was put into it, and/or is incomprehensible.

Because people are sad and need the attention of posts on their threads for a sense of fulfillment.

#14 do ask me anything threads not also promote discussion? I agree some are just popularity stunts but that does not apply to all. And I would argue as much effort has been put into any ama thread as your otfdan
