Does anyone else feel as if the quality of forums has degenerated?

I think that it is true that the quality of the forums has degenerated for some time.
Some posters post multiple threads with little intelligent content .Very uninteresting.
If posters stray into the realms of politics or religion there sometimes seems to be
some inconsistency in the attitude of Moderators regarding the locking of unacceptable
threads.In some cases posters seem to survive any breaches with no sanction.In other cases
they seem to be penalised often without any substantial reasons.
I would like to refer readers to a case in point.Recently a thread has been posted in the off
topic section entitled "Bobby Fischer Twin of Adolf Hitler".A scrutiny of the contents leaves me
in no doubt that the Moderators should have locked it without delay.Further that serious consideration
should be given to close the OP s account.
But what has happened to date? Nothing Zilch Nada!
why has there been no reaction from the Moderators?????
