What inspired Paul McCartney?

Does any music genius like me know what were the folkloric Irish songs that inspired him to write "I saw her Standing there"?

I played that song with my guitar to a cute girl I met at work and now Im a father with triplets so I want to know what song allowed me to ruin my life.

For the music intellectuals like me, If you check Wikipedia it actually shows what songs McCartney used as an inspiration and I must tell you he did those  crappy songs a favor.

Congratulations on the birth of your three future world champions. I have no info regarding p.Mac's inspiration, I believe it is in his blood. 

Paul McCartney was a flat-out musical genius who was inspired by practically everything and sought out even more things for inspiration.

Recently I was reading "Beatles '66: The Revolutionary Year" and I was amazed how many influences McCartney reported which I missed but after reading what McCartney said, I could hear easily.

For instance Paul said he was thinking of Dylan's "Rainy Day Women" when he put the raucous background singing into "Yellow Submarine."

Paul is dead kept me at night when I was 7. I have DNA results so it no longer keeps me up at night.

You are right cress12, The Beatles lived in a port city and sailors coming from the New World usually brought up the new stuff, The Beatles cherised all that new stuff and of course it influenced them.
