What is logic?

I am now with the position that logic is useful (i.e., full of utility). Personally, I see it as though there was some missing qualitative component to my theory of reality; such theories are predicated in a logically consistent foundation on which they can be self-actualized in a self-referential medium. I firmly believe, now that I have experienced the true heart of Tao, that logical negation is a root otem; it is a logical neccessity that logic exists, not through itself, but based on it's ability to judge an objective reality such as the one we live in now. Such a logical system can only be applied in reference to the thing observed, otherwise there is no actual logical reference, and thus no "reality".
