All current languages are combinations of previous ones. This includes written and spoken versions.

Not many. All. Most a result of migration and absorption.

A lesson can be demonstrated by 30,000 years of settlements in north and south America before European conquest.

Before European contact, over 300 to 500 distinct languages were spoken in North America alone, with estimates exceeding 1,000 to 4,000 across the entire Americas. This massive linguistic diversity, comprising over 50 language families, was far greater than in Europe at the time.

And these were predominantly developed by migration not wars.
