it's called catharsis bub, the best art is art that resonates and gets u 2 feel emotions that are closer to the edges of the emotional spectrum. got a song that fires u up? that but in the opposite direction.
you don't gotta be sad to cry either. sometimes art will just take ur breath away and you shed tears of awe. there are a few songs that I find so gorgeous I can't even talk when they're playing
