What's another word for another word?

I have said before, freedom's just another word for another word that's just another word for freedom.

But what's another word for "another word"?  And if there is no such word, you can make one up or find an existing word to add a new connotation to?  Explain your reasoning, and, if possible, show your homework.

another word is another representant of the class of words for the concept we have of something.

"alternative vocable" is another word for "another word".

linuxblue, i would interpret your words in another way.
Example "cow":
another word: "moo"
metawords: "grass eater", "milk giver" (depending on observer)
hyperwords: "supercow", "COOW!"
iterativawords: "cow 2" "the other cow"

in fact "another word for x" is the quite complex function
one_of(
  each(
    word_for(
      concept_of(x)
    )
  )
)
where x = that what is = everyone agrees that it is = x

awesome analysis.  I'm blown away.

Someone hire this person!   I don't know what you do for a living, but I'm sure you're damned good at it.

Good job.  Nerdish to a tee!

One little nit though: Alternative vocable is a phrase.  But who's counting?  (I emitted that inaudibly).

Do you refer to the "each" function? Do you mean: what makes it part of "each"?

Sorry. I don't know another word for another word, maybe it's another word that I don't know. ;)
