The National Weather Service in Wilmington has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...

Ross County in south central Ohio...

* Until 230 PM EDT.

* At 1115 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding near

Frankfort, where evacuations occurred along Little Creek road,

with numerous other roads flooded. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of

rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.25 to 0.5 inches

in 2 hours.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban

areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as

other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...

Chillicothe, Kingston, Bainbridge, North Folk Village, Frankfort,

Clarksburg, South Salem, Knockemstiff, Andersonville, Bourneville,

Massieville, Lattaville, Summithill, Scioto Trail State Park,

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...The following county, in south central Ohio, Ross.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Expect

many areas of slow moving or standing water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 127 PM EDT, A few roads remain closed due to high water

and debris from earlier flash flooding. Additional rainfall

amounts of 0.1 to 0.3 inches are possible.

- Some locations that may experience flooding include...

Chillicothe, Kingston, Bainbridge, North Folk Village,

Frankfort, Clarksburg, South Salem, Knockemstiff,

Some generic flood advice - Check doors and windows for possible leaks, seal gaps, keep sandbags, stock some non-perishable food and first aid and essential medicine, keep torches and candles at hand, charge power banks. Due the flood bugs and snakes get displaced and therefore beware. Help others.

Also don't drive and avoid areas which have relatively lower lying.
