I had one when there was a weird headless corpse just standing motionless at the staircase but the second I saw it, it just flew upstairs and apparently it was called a ‘ghost man’ and I somehow knew that they were called that even though I’ve never heard of them my entire life. Out of fear, I ran out of the house, leaving the door open. Before I left, I took one glance behind myself and I saw hundreds of these ‘ghost men’ appearing and flying into the air so I sprinted off as their dark shadows began looming over me. Nobody else in my neighbourhood had noticed yet but I would continuously shout,’Run!’ as I passed each property, feeling guilty that I couldn’t do anything more for the countless innocents in my area. I could only continue running. At this point, I could begin to hear screams of fear and pain but I only kept running. Then I somehow felt like being teleporting and felt my dream change. In this new environment, I was hiding from the ‘ghost men’ in a cupboard and one of them was searching for survivors-me. As it was about to open my hiding spot, I woke up. It was 1am and I was sweating all over my body.

I can still hear the screams of people behind me today. That one dream will haunt me for eternity.

I also had another about a zombie apocalypse when I was 7 after I saw my father watching world war Z.

I gets this nightmare where I only see white and it feels so calm, then black starts seeping in and I feel much terror and then voices start talking in indistinguishable talk but it sounds very sarcastic then the whole thing turns black and I get the feeling of being submerged into water and not being able to breathe then I feel pain and I wake up on the floor

That twisted sick feeling in your stomach after such nightmares stays way longer than the ones where you were scared of something else. The worst part is, you often don't realize how bad they were until you wake up.
