hello I would recommend the best pages to buy a chess set

Your location might be paramount in getting the best deal. Buying off of India gets you free shipping. Shipping from any chess vendor in the USA will be very expensive.  When you compare make sure you compare with shipping charges to your door. Many sets are the same because they come from the same manufacturer in India.  Good luck, there are many good chess purveyors on  the internet.

I have shopped at these places with satisfaction; I live in Australia.

Chessbazaar chess products have a wide range of hidden defects and my experience with them has been very disappointing.

Hmm, the troll says he has a wide range of hidden defects in the many sets he has purchased from Chess Bazaar.  If the wide range of defects were really hidden he could not see them, could he?

My favourite place to buy from is a good chess or games store. Sadly brick an mortar stores are in short supply. I do buy online from a variety of sources but stores are just more fun. You can see the sets for yourself and also discuss things with the store's staff.

I've had only good experiences with chesshouse.com

I agree. There are a few game stores where I live but nothing specialising in chess.

Most chess purveyors do not by defective sets. Stop with the trolling please and srat with your true country GB as that is where you IP is from and your last 6 accounts.

Best is to buy from reputable chess sellers such as House of Staunton rather than direct from retailers in India. The reason is House of Staunton have strict quality control and they buy their chess sets only from the two best chess makers in the world. Some naive customers in order to save money turn to minor retailers and end up with chess sets made with low quality wood and full of defects of all sorts.

Best is to actually do everything the opposite that Stauntonmaster says.

It is interesting that everything he writes and claims as fact is really wrong and directed against a lot of good manufacturers and sellers.

It is obvious that Stauntonmaster is trying to fool the naive people that might actually believe the extreme falsehoods he writes.  And he obviously is trying to increase profits for a very few group of sellers with these falsehoioeds.

In my experience. To order "basic" pieces the best shop is https://tiendaajedrezescacimat.es/en/ (probably shipping can be not acceptable in some countries), they have very good prices. And for guanteed high quality pieces (not less to HOS) to good price, https://www.stauntoncastle.com.

The above is not true.  There are some very good retailers that are not on eBay.

Ebay is best as all the top chess retailers are on it and customers can compare prices and quality.

The above statement is wrong.  Some of the top chess retailers are NOT on eBay.

The sellers on here are afraid of ebay because prices are much lower and consumers protection is very high. All major chess sellers including House of Staunton and Chessbazaar are on ebay.

At this time, there are no sellers on here.
