Who hates communism?
I think communism is inherently flawed because it relies too much on the people in power never abusing their power, trying to gain more, or inflicting it unjustly on the people under them. It forces the individual to sacrifice their own needs on the altar of some vague “collective”, which always ends in the discontent of both the individual and the collective. Healthy societies are formed on free, voluntary cooperation, never coercion. That’s just my opinion though, believe what you want and please don’t ban me lol

i think transciever was making a communist joke
also how is this still up 😭
inb4thelock i guess
No idea
No, it was *Marxism* that had some good--if overly idealistic--ideas...COMMUNISM is what happened to Marxism when the likes of Lenin/Trotsky/Stalin took over...
Oh yea, it's been over 6 hours since the inception of this "politucal" thread, and still no Lock...so don't worry.
Well since i guess the mods decided we’re allowed to debate communism, let’s try to have a productive conversation ![]()
curious for those of you who support communism but think the Soviets, Mao, and Castro did it wrong: what would you do differently to ensure society doesn’t fall into a paranoid cycle of bloodshed and oppression? is “the ends justify the means” approach where communists in the past have gone wrong or is it something else?
i’m genuinely curious as someone on the opposite end of the spectrum (anarcho-capitalist) to hear arguments for how the other side could work.
