Who wants the old country Taylor Swift back?

So this thread is a bit of a puzzler. Since she was never country to begin with. Its too bad all the old songwriters who could sing and play their instruments are fading away.

The true king of country will always be the great Hank Williams. Aka, Luke the Drifter.

John Denver never really made it.

He had some real great songs. My personal favorite is "Take me home country roads"

And he got to star on the muppet show. That was true pop culture greatness back in the day.

Sigh. . . my father used to blast him out on Sundays, him and Kris Kristofferson. I prefered Kristofferson.

Now a proper discussion would be whether Conway Twitty or Jerry Lee Lewis were better rock or country acts.i say they were both better country stars, but at least the premise makes sense.

I'm not aware of any genuine country music being recorded in the last 20 years. There probably are people making country music but it's not the stuff that's ever heard by many people. 

Taylor Swift ain't country.
