Because it's mostly against the rules and inappropriate.
Also, if you are not as sensitive as other people it doesn't mean that that they are "butthurts" (an ugly term, I must say)

I'll end this by saying yes you can write me off as a jerk and a bad person but you all gotta get some thicker skin if you let simple online smack talk effect your life this much. If you truly hate this kind of behavior surely you would just ignore it like it did not exist for you. What is it away from you if someone wants to be like that. Some people can even enjoy trashing each other without any particular reason or personal offense towards the other party. Chess.com sure has a very serious community to my standards. It's not like I'm out here committing a crime or threatening anyone.

I love a good trash talking, but if you said that to me I'd ignore you as well. Your trash talk is garbage, that's not even funny. It just sounds like someone who is frustrated that they lost and start trying to act all tough because they're butthurt with the defeat, which makes it much much funnier to just leave you there all pissy...
I do agree people in general need to have thicker skin tho, but then again, as it was pointed, there are many kids using this website as well, give them time...
