Why do they say the sky is the limit if someone has step foot on the moon

So, if you are standing on the moon, you can look up into the sky.  That is the moon's sky.  Otherwise, you have to make up a new word - "I'm looking up into the ...."  the what?  Finish this sentence.  And as for footprints, that would be looking at the ground.  Not the sky.  Not even the moon's sky... why am I even writing on this ridiculous thread?  MORE COFFEE PLEASE !!! tongue.png
