Why I personally think EV’s are better than GV’s

I personally think Electric Vehicles (or EV’s) are better both environmentally and generally than opposed to gas vehicles (or GC’s)
Electric vehicles have much better brakes, they stop almost instantly after pressing in the pedal. They also have many different ways to entertain yourself while waiting. You may argue, “oh it’s gonna distract the driver” but all games are locking unless your car in is park. There are cons however, I personally would not trust the self driving feature, you have to pay more and risk the AI making your car barbarian barrel itself at someone else. Young people may get so used to driving they have no idea how to drive a GC when it’s necessary. Let’s take environmentally. GC’s run on gas, obviously. A lot of gas is made using oil pumps on land and in sea. Oil pumps do not run by itself, it’s powered by electricity, for roughly one oil pump for one month, the energy used is enough to power a Tesla for almost a year. One. Month. That is insane. Afterward, that oil is transported by ship. Since the oil required to run the ship is so expensive they use the cheapest, and most dirty oil to pollute the environment but get the job done. Because of this the ships cannot go near some countries coastline, and have to be towed. Afterward the oil is transported to an oil refinery. Oil refinery’s are one of the largest contributors to global warming. More than 50 tons of CO2 is emitted per year from oil refineries. So much so that people near the refinery’s have increased lung cancer risk. Then it is out into cars which obviously pollute just by running. Now let’s look at EV’s. EV’s run on electricity. Electricity does not need to be extracted underground, it does not need to be shipped, or does not need to be refined. It just goes straight to the car. Now let’s talk about lithium. Lithium is a core part of batteries. Lithium mines do pollute the environment, but take it from this example. Australia provide 50% of the world’s lithium. They also have oil refinery’s there. The people of Australia complain about the oil refinery’s more than the mines. The lithium mines are a lot more efficient than the gas. Also I’d like to point out, not as a political statement more like my opinion. Governments make a lot of money of the oil industry, I think they are bribing people into slandering EV’s with fake news such as battery fires etc. Now, what do you think, if you read it that far.
