Lmao I thought it was rep for Independence for Mexico
Why is Cinco de Mayo a Huge Celebration in the U.S.?

Are you a Mexican or a Mexicant?
Mexicans know more about their own history, and the world, than any other nation I know of. They are walking textbooks.
I have an Apache friend (I've survived an Apache attack) who says the Apache became Mexican so the White Men would stop shooting them. I'm like, out of the frying pan into the fire. The White Boys shot Mexicans as fast as Indians. The Porvenir massacre is just one incident in a long line.
Now we drink Tequila with them and they feed us tacos and burritos. Life is good.

I always hated borders. The English Patient expresses that sentiment. She dies because of his funny name.

That's a start, Name. Right outta Wiki. I'm hoping the Mexicans show up on this one. I'm going to give it a day and see what comes in. Studying Mexican History is one of the most confusing things you will ever attempt. I've read extensively on it and still can't give you a good overall picture. I have many details, but there is no simple analysis on this one. I'd love to read the Cliff Notes.

The English Patient was Best Picture of 1996 and won eight other Academy Awards. Great story adapted from a convoluted book. The book is very surreal and tells the story like no other way that I've ever encountered in fiction. It was loose and poetic and you weren't always sure what exactly was going on. The movie tells a straightforward story and it is a true masterpiece. One of my favorites. Ralph Fiennes (pr. Rafe), Juliette Binoche ha cha cha, Willem Dafoe and Kristen Scott Thomas looking hot. The early days of WWII in North Africa.

He has a funny name, and because he has a funny name the English think he's a German. No hilarity ensues. I guess borders are another necessary evil. Sure seems to be a lot of those around now.

#3 Gabriel looks a lot like my neighbor. I never heard of the guy, but he's coming in June to Austin to a High Demand Event, according to TicketsCenter. Two nights, four shows. I'll have to check him out. I'm sure he's telling Mexican jokes. As I said somewhere else on here, Mexicans are one of the few cultures who wil laugh at themselves and the stereotypes. I am fortunate to have the neighbors I have, many of whom are Hispanic. They're a lot of fun.
You get a cookie if you can tell me the rest of the story, why the day is important, not so much to Mexicans, but Texas goes all out. And who was the insignificant officer who helped win the day and later went on to infamy? Wiki only has a part of the story, and Mexicans don't really like the reality of this one.
Meanwhile, es una Fiesta todo la dia.
