Debate about being vegan/vegetarian here

With that logic, if something doesn’t mind being dead, then we should just kill it?
That is just wrong. I have personally seen animals make themself suffer by their own will, so ur argument there is also wrong. With logic like the one you presented, people who are attempting to commit suicide should just be left to do it. But this is just wrong

Yes, they can
Pandas are a perfect example: they are meant to eat meat, yet they eat plants because they are convenient, rather then just go hunt for fresh meat to eat

#1 vegetarian diet instead of a vegan diet can provide all the nutritional requirement of the human body.

But the problem is that it requires planning to include a variety of foods items in your diet. But I think it is manageable.

Ok, I agree, I just like meat in general (severe pause)
Peskybird1234
Meat in general is good, but some meats are better than others

Plus, if they are already dead, what is the harm in putting their meat to good use?

What I’m arguing against is the abuse of animals, not its consumption or their deaths necessarily.

Peskybird1234
But ur saying that animals are more important than plants
Peskybird1234
Plants get abused as well, yet you choose to ignore them

#1 also, the title is misleading. You might wanna change it to the topic you are actually discussing.

Peskybird1234
?
Peskybird1234
I think the title is spot on

Pandas were omnivores, not carnivores.

Peskybird1234
Their bodies are meant to eat meat though, they just happen to not die from plants

  1. Most animals, including us, have self-destructing habits, but that doesn’t mean they crave suffering.
  2. With “not wanting to live”, I meant “not making decisions that would lead to not dying”, not “wanting to die”. And still, many people might argue that animals do want to live (a.k.a. make decisions that’d lead to avoiding death).

Because they were omnivores.

Peskybird1234
I have personally witnessed animals make decisions that caused them to suffer and die

Having self-destructing habits does not mean you want to suffer.

I am more curious about that second thing you said. Please give an example.

Peskybird1234
Just because they are omnivores doesn’t mean that they should eat either or. They are meant to eat meat, just they eat plants instead
