It happens to a lot of people. It has happened to me. The last time it happened to me, I forgot to carefully check the URL of a post I had quoted.

You're right, he should protest that to staff. That seems a pretty stiff penalty for someone who always seems to play by the rules. Maybe one of their censorship bots zapped him.
Personally, I find his posts are mostly silly or irrelevant to the topic, but chess.com would be a pretty silent place if you muted everybody for that.
you don't know what he did, he could have been rude to someone else. He also could have been wrongly muted
I bet people that did not agree with his thoughts and had no respect for him reported him
Or he coulda beat someone in a debate
I would expect such things from many people i have met on here

People who are muted by chess.com should be told why they are muted. Because, among other reasons, the mutes are sometimes mistakes.
